Joe Tanti
Head Chef
Joe grew up on Vancouver Island where his love for fine foods started.
He took his culinary training at Malaspina College/University and when
the opportunity came to move to a ski resort town in 2005 he jumped on
it. Not knowing where Fernie was located or what it was about… Joe
picked up and moved within in 1 week of a new job offer. The wonderful
atmosphere, people and the relaxed Fernie lifestyle are why Joe has
made this his home. Joe enjoys football, camping, hunting, his
bulldogs, cooking and of course skiing. Having worked in the industry
since 2000, Joe brings to Island Lake Resorts knowledge, experience and
the love for food.
